That didn’t take long…

Flash in the pan?

Overhyped?

Over before it even began?

All of the above?

As was entirely predictable, the hype for Threads has come and gone quickly. When was the last time you even heard mention of it?

But it’s not a surprise. Not really.

With so much social media fatigue, there was no way for this thing to make an impact.

There are only so many things we can devote our attention to. And social media makes the attempt to steal our last ounce of focus and mental energy.

There was just too much of it out there already.

I know everyone wants to join the latest and greatest, but it was clear where Threads was going.

You probably already have your social media platform(s) of choice that have become part of your daily routine.

And with so much else out there vying for our attention, you probably didn’t have the capacity for much more.

At the end of the day, there is only so much we can consume and devote our time to. Social media is already such a time bandit that you may not have had the energy to give to yet another one.
