In a world already teeming with distraction and social media platforms, along comes yet another one — Threads.

As if we needed another way to waste our time and dive deeper into the rabbit hole of online oversharing; Threads boldly steps onto the scene.

But let me try to be the voice of reason here as I explain why I won’t be joining this latest social media extravaganza.

1. An Overwhelming Amount of Options

Remember when social media was simpler? Ah, those were the days. Now, our online lives are like an all-you-can-eat buffet that never ends.

We have to juggle between countless platforms, profiles, and personas. Adding Threads to the mix is like trying to find Waldo at Coachella.

When I first heard about Threads, my instant response was, “Do I have to?”

Stop the world, I want to get off.

Honestly, I can barely keep up with my dog’s Instagram account. Why would I willingly add another one to the mix?

I just want to lie down…

2. What’s in a Name?

And what’s in a name? “Threads,” seriously? Are we expected to spend our days weaving…
