Do me a favor. Picture the very worst movie or TV show you’ve ever seen. Do you have one in mind? OK, now make it twice as worse. Then double it again. The abomination you’re left with still pales in comparison to the atrocity that happened on the night of November 17th, 1978.

The phrase, “I’ve got a bad feeling about this,” is uttered at least once in every Star Wars film. This should have been the working title for the Star Wars Holiday Special, which is considered one of the worst things to ever air on television.

You know how there are some movies or shows that fall into the “so bad, they’re good” category? That does not apply here. I have sat through the Star Wars Holiday Special a few times, and this is a look back on how this train wreck came to be.

If you’re not familiar with Star Wars, it was a small independent monsters and robots movie that came out in 1977. It, of course, changed the trajectory of movies forever and blew the collective minds of kids everywhere.
